Creating An Email Account

Within Email2DB you create one or more 'Accounts'. An Account defines where Email2DB will read and parse emails from. Within each Account you create one or more 'Triggers'. A Trigger defines what information Email2DB will check for in incoming emails and what actions it should perform when an email matches its criteria.

This form will be displayed automatically if you start Email2DB and no accounts exist. You can also click Add Account.

Enter the Name and Details of the Account.

Check For New Mail Every

Specify how often you want Email2DB to check for new emails for this account.

Store Full Copy Of Checked Email Messages In The Checked Messages Database

When Email2DB reads a messages from the email source it stores a copy of the message unique identifier in its own 'Checked Messages' database. This prevents the same email message from being checked and processed twice for the same Email2DB account. By default Email2DB will just store the unique identifier and the message from/to address and subject in this database. Enable this option if you want Email2DB to also store the full body text.

For POP3 and IMAP retrieved emails, Email2DB will also store the full headers and attachments with the Email. For Outlook retrieved emails, just the body text is stored.

Enabling this option will of course increase the size of the Email2DB database.
